November is almost upon us, and that means - National Novel Writing Month! Since 1999, thousands of avid writers from around the world have been participating in the month-long challenge to write a 50,000 word manuscript in only 30 days. While you may think you're not equipped to handle such a challenge, keep in mind that most participants break down the lofty goal into daily word counts of just 1,667 words. And no editing is allowed, giving writers the freedom to...write.

I've participated in the challenge for the last ten years, placing ten victories under my belt - including one year where I finished in six days and another year where I wrote 100,000 words. So this is definitely doable.

If you'd like to participate, head on over to NaNoWriMo.org and sign up for an account. The whole contest is free, and you'll be joining an awesome community of like-minded writers who just want to get that awesome story down on paper. November is for writers!
