August Update: Volunteer Opportunities, Realm Makers, and New Books!

Welcome to our new website, fellow Crossover fans. We switched website platforms just a little while ago, and we’ve been hard at work on refining the new site, building out some awesome projects, and pouring through a glorious amount of fantastic submissions that have come our way. We have a lot of exciting news to share with all of you, so let’s go over the high points!

Our website has received a fresh coat of paint, and we’re still building onto its foundation as we move through the next few months. Today, we added on a new forum for everyone to chat in. We will also be incorporating all of our old blog posts soon, so we can start discussions again regarding real-world content in Christian fiction. We’re still building out the mobile version, and we have plans to include a mobile app in the near future.

Volunteer Positions

Are you looking to get your feet wet in the publishing industry? We just opened our doors to some job opportunities, including Acquisitions Editor and Book Editor. The positions are on a volunteer basis, but will give you real-world experience working for a small press, along with some other perks.

Head to to check out the positions available and for instructions on how to apply.

Video Podcasting

We are in the middle of testing out equipment to start a video podcast. In it, we’ll take a closer look at the various types of real-world content we believe can be incorporated into your Christian fiction, announce upcoming book releases, and even offer special bonuses that you’ll only find by watching the cast. This is a project that will lift off the ground soon, so stay tuned!

We have some exciting projects coming at you in the near future.

The first is Yaasha Moriah’s novella, Without A Vision. You can look for Without A Visionto hit publication on December 5th, and in the meantime you can check out this sneak peek of the cover illustration by Schleezed at Fiverr.

We have Alana A. Wellington’s The Oyster Heart coming at you in 2018, our first romance title. Trust us though, this story isn’t about bonnets or buggies.

Next year will usher in some other great titles as well, including Book 3 and 4 in my own Black Earth series, Mark Carver’s Age of Apollyon series, among other short stories, novellas, and novels.

Realm Makers

We proudly attended Realm Makers last month. Take it from us, if you’re a geek, if you love to read/write, and if you love gathering with other reading/writing geeks, then RM is right up your alley.

At RM we had a table where we displayed our current catalog of titles, met Ted Dekker (the keynote speaker), and really got to make a presence for the Crossover and for our special blend of unique fiction. We took submissions, shook hands with many new friends, and got really, really excited for next year’s event.

Stay tuned for more awesome announcements from the Crossover in the coming months, get ready for Yaasha’s book coming out this winter, and don’t forget to sign up for our email newsletter to get a free digital copy of Mark Carver’s gothic historical novel, Nikolai the Penitent.

And as always, thank you for supporting our small press! Make sure to tell your friends about us.
