Life: The Crossover Alliance Anthology - V5
Life. Breathed into each of us by God, this precious gift has often been neglected, overlooked, and even sought out to be destroyed. Through every struggle though, there are stories of victory over death, where life is preserved, saved, protected in even the darkest and direst of times. In our current cultural climate, life isn’t always cherished as it should be, and the innocent are often the ones who pay for such evil. Pro-Choice and Pro-Life have been at odds with each other for decades as one seeks to preserve, while the other enables the taking of the innocent.
We want your short stories highlighting the gift that is life! We welcome all genres and all stories – as long as they fall within the parameters of the anthology. What are the parameters of our upcoming anthology? Simple:
– All stories must celebrate life and the pro-life movement. Your story can be as gritty or as serene as you’d like to make it, as long as the end result is that the beauty of life is exposed somehow.
– All stories must adhere to our Biblical Core Values. Your story does not need to be overtly Christian, but it should not undermine the core beliefs of Christianity.
– All stories can fall within any genre, however, understand that we have the right to reject a story if we feel it is not right for The Crossover Alliance.
If you’re ready to submit to our upcoming anthology, please adhere to the following submission guidelines and send us a submission package that follows our instructions carefully. If you send us your story but don’t follow the submission instructions, your story could fall through the cracks, end up on the back of a milk carton, or end up in the slush pile. Nobody wants that! So, make sure you follow our submission guidelines carefully…
We will be taking submissions from September 25th to December 1st, 2019.
Please read Our Mission for an understanding of what type of work we are looking for.
Do not submit a query for an unfinished story.
We do accept previously published/self-published stories as long as you currently own the rights to those stories.
Submissions can be emailed to email@example.com, addressing Mr. David Alderman. Please include SHORT STORY SUBMISSION and the title of your short story in the subject line of your email.
There is no minimum word count requirement for short stories. Our word count maximum for short stories is 10,000 words.
Submissions should have a Christian theme and may fall within a variety of different genres.
All submissions may include ‘edgy’ and mature content, so long as that content is used responsibly toward the story and not for the sheer intention of making the piece ‘edgy’. We have the final say in whether a piece is edgy for the wrong or right reasons.
All submissions should hold to central Christian doctrines, and all authors submitting should hold to central Christian doctrines. Central Christian Doctrines are defined as such: the Trinity, the deity of Jesus Christ, the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, the work of Christ on the cross, and salvation by grace through faith. Submissions that do not hold to these central Christian doctrines will be denied.
We retain the right to refuse any piece for any reason we see fit.
Please send us a submission package containing:
A cover letter which includes your name, the title of your story, and a brief bio telling us who you are and what your interests are. Be personable, and give us a good idea of who you are as a person, not just a writer.
A brief synopsis telling us what your story is about, who some of the characters are, and if this is a standalone story or attached to a series. Please also give us an explanation of what makes your story Christian.
Your entire short story.
Please make sure your manuscript submission is formatted as such in a double-spaced Microsoft Word (or Word readable) document:

Indent your paragraphs.
